Diane Von Furstenberg's Spring/Summer 2013 - The Queen of Prints

A great collection for Spring/Summer 2013 from Diane von Furstenberg dominated by beautiful prints and drapes! Combined prints, draped skirts and tunics over pants, gorgeous and elegant jumpsuits, all with a bohemian vibe! Even though the bohemian feel it's very powerful, you can see that it has a certain elegance, specific to DVF. All the draping reminds me of the Ancient Rome and the skirts and dresses over pants of the Indian sari. Vibrant colours such as coral, yellow, blue, light green, purple, combined with more toned down colours, such as terracotta, black, white, navy. Light fabrics for the draped pieces and more structured ones for the tailored clothes. An amazing collection in which you can see extremely well Diane von Furstenberg's style.

O minunata colectie pentru primavara/vara 2013 din partea Dianei von Furstenberg dominata de imprimeuri superbe si drapaje. Imprimeuri combinate, fuste drapate si tunici peste pantaloni, jumpsuit'uri superbe, toate create pentru un spirit boem. Chiar daca sentimentul boem este atat de puternic, se poate observa ca are o eleganta anume, specifica lui DVF. Toate drapajele imi amintesc de Roma antica, iar fustele si rochiile peste pantaloni de sariul indian. Culori puternice precum corai, galben, albastru, verde deschis, mov, combinate cu culori ceva mai temperate cum este caramiziul, negrul, bleumarin si alb. Materiale fine pentru piesele drapate si ceva mai structurate pentru hainele cu croiala fixa. O colectie superba, in care se poate observa extrem de bine stilul lui Diane von Furstenberg!

Monique Lhuillier's Spring/Summer 2013 - Sea Colours

I'm back with pictures from Monique Lhuillier's show dominated by sea water colours! Great colorful pieces, mostly in the blue colour, prints that resembled fish skin, they looked wonderful on the runway! Tones of glitter, dark blue and gold, and very light fabrics, such as lace and chiffon! The collection had mostly dresses, medium and long ones, and some looks with long waisted pants! A very feminine collection, with beautiful vibrant colours! Enjoy!

M'am intors cu imagini din prezentarea lui Monique Lhuillier, dominata de culorile apei de mare! Piese colorate, in mare in albastru, paiete in albastru inchis stralucitor si auriu, imprimeuri ce aduc a solzi de peste si materiale fine, precum matasea si chiffonul, cam asa se prezinta colectia acestui designer. Compusa in mare parte din rochii si fuste, medii sau lungi, intalnim si pantaloni pana cu talie inalta sau pantaloni scurti! O colectie foarte feminina, cu culori superbe. Sper sa va placa!

Jason Wu's Spring/Summer 2013 - A Dream

As I've said earlier, I'm coming back with a post about Jason Wu's collection, by far my favourite! It has something that for me makes it special! It has lace, leather, light fabrics such as chiffon, the ending of the dresses and skirts is really cute (I myself have a skirt with that kind of ending), corsets combined with the upper part of a shirt, elegant prints, what more can you want. The colours are mainly black and white, a bit of beige, navy and coral. A beautiful collection!

Asa cum am spus mai devreme, ma intorc cu un post despres colectia lui Jason Wu, preferata mea de pana acum. Are ceva ce o face speciala pentru mine. Are dantela, piele, materiale fine precum chiffonul, iar rochiile si fustele sunt tare dragute, se termina cu dantela brodata (am si eu o fusta exact in genul asta), corsetele sunt combinate cu partea superioara a camasilor (arata tare interesant), imprimeuri elegante, ce poti sa ceri mai mult. Culorile in mare sunt dominate de negru si alb, insa intalnim si bej, bleumarin si corai. O colectie superba!

Live From the Runway

Yes, it's New York Fashion Week and guess what you can see it live on Youtube (here's the link Live From the Runway). So the designers are presenting their ready-to-wear collection for the spring-summer 2013, and I might say that they look very good. Less pastel colours, more vivid ones, black and grey, darker tones, for the fabrics lace and prints are still on the wave, even though you can see less floral prints and more splash ones, chiffon, silk, organza, tones of glitter and sparkles, it will be a great spring/summer! And the best thing is that we can see live a big part of the shows. The schedule is also on the channel and a countdown till the next show. 

Here I've selected some of the pieces that I liked from Charlotte Ronson, Alexander Wang (who had kind of a weird collection if you ask me) and Jill Stewart. My favourite collection so far are those of Jason Wu and Monique Lhuillier, I'll write about them really soon.

Da, este saptamana modei in New York si ce credeti, o puteti vedea in direct pe Youtube (uitati aici linkul Live From the Runway). Designerii isi prezinta colectiile de pret-a-porter pentru sezonul primavara-vara 2013, si nu pot sa spun decat ca arata promitator. Mai putine pasteluri (slava domnului, eu personal le detest, nu le consider culori), culori mai vii, negru si gri, tonuri ceva mai inchise, iar in ceea ce priveste materialele, dantela si imprimeurile sunt in continuare pe val, chiar daca nu mai sunt atat de multe imprimeuri florale, ci cele in care culoarea pare aruncata ca intr-un tablou, chiffon, matase, organza, o multime de paiete si materiale sclipicioase, o sa fie o primavara/vara cu adevarat geniala! Si de departe cel mai bun lucru este ca putem vedea in direct o mare parte din prezentari. Programul se gaseste afisat pe canal si exista chiar si o numaratoare inversa pana la urmatorul show.

Am selectat aici cateva piese care mi'au placut, din prezentarile lui Charlotte Ronson, Alexander Wang (care daca e sa ma intrebati, a avut o colectie tare ciudata) si Jill Stewart. Colectiile mele preferate pana acum au fost de departe cele al lui Jason Wu si Monique Lhuillier, despre care am sa scriu cat de curand.

While It's Still Sunny

The summer ended, as well as my vacation (well literally speaking - I'm still free, but have to write an essay, read some books, you know stuff like that for my master admission - such a blast). But I'm not sad, at least it's warm and sunny outside and I can still sleep till noon! So another quick post with the outfit that I had at my graduation this summer!

Uite asa s'a dus si vara, cu tot cu vacanta mea (teoretic sunt inca in vacanta, practic nu prea - trebuie sa scriu un eseu, sa citesc niste carti, chestii de genul asta, stiti voi la ce ma refer, pt. admiterea la master - e tare "distractiv"). Da nu este asa un capat de tara, sa privim partea buna a lucrurilor, afara e inca soare si cald si macar pot sa dorm pana pe la pranz! Asa ca un post rapid cu tinuta pe care am purtat'o la festivitatea de absolvire din vara asta!

After A Long Day

I've taken these pictures at the end of my graduation day, which was one of the longest days ever. So after I spent the entire day in heels (I usualy wear heels, so I'm used to it, but this was one of those days when you can't sit down at all), more exactly 10 hours, maybe more, don't really remember, the most casual outfit that I could find was this dress and those flat sandals. Yeah, that day I was meeting with a good friend, the gorgeous flowers are from her (ty again Ioana), and I changed into the most comfortable pice I could find in my closet. The sandals that I have on (you can't see them very well) were bought 4years ago when I was in Paris, from Zara. They were the last pair there (they were waiting for me for sure), and they are by far the most comfortable piece of footwear that I have :D

Am facut pozele din postul de azi la sfarsitul zilei in care am avut festivitatea de absolvire, una dintre cele mai lungi si obositoare zile ever. Asa ca dupa ce am stat toata ziua pe niste tocuri imense (de regula port numai tocuri, asa ca sunt obisnuita, dar in ziua respectiva n'am apucat sa stau jos mai deloc, afara era o caldura infernala, am mai alergat sa ma inscriu si la licenta and so on), mai exact in jur de 10 ore, e posibil sa fi fost mai mult, nu'mi aduc aminte foarte bine, cea mai comoda tinuta la care am putut sa ma gandesc a fost alcatuita din rochia si sandalele astea. Da, in ziua respectiva, dupa toata alergatura si nervii pe care mi i'am facut (evident ca intr'o asemenea zi nu pot lipsi nervii :))), trebuia sa ma vad cu o buna prietena, buchetul acela superb de flori este de la ea (merci, Ioana :D), asa ca m'am schimbat in ceva mai comfortabil (tinuta de la absolvire o sa o pun in alt post). Sandalele pe care le port (desi nu le puteti vedea prea bine, am sa vorbesc putin despre ele) le'am cumparat acum 4 ani de la Zara din Paris, ultima pereche de acolo (parca aveau numele meu scris pe ele :D, deci pe mine ma asteptau clar) si sunt cele mai comfortabile incaltari pe care le detin, si de departe cele mai durabile (la cat le'am purtat si prin cate au trecut, ma surprinde si acum ca n'au patit nimic). Sper sa ma mai tina inca 4 ani de acum inainte, pt. ca sunt geniale :D.

Asymmetrical Lace Dress

Today I'm going to post an outfit from like 2months ago, with the dress that I wore at my graduation prom. It's not something very fancy, I don't really like the typical dress that all the girls wear for this type of occasions, I like more comfortable clothes, especialy for long nights :D Before founding this dress I was quite stresses out, cause I didn't had the time to go to look for something and I wasn't in the mood either, also I wanted something cheap (cuz I hate buying expensive clothes, wear them once and after that keeping them in the closet and never wear them again), so good luck with that. But, one day while I was looking for a day dress for this summer, I've entered a bit at H&M just to see what they had new there, and in a corner I saw this dress, well actualy I saw lace, and when I see lace I can't see anything else :D The colour wasn't exactly on my taste, but I couldn't find it in another colour so I thought I should try it, no harm from that no. So I did that, and well it looked good, was cheap (only 28$ / 22euros, can u believe it!!!), was made out of lace, so I bought it, after all I had some time to buy something else if by any chance I would have changed my mind.

That's the story behind this dress, the other stuff that I wore I already had it in my closet, except the necklace that I bought it a week before the prom.

So nothing very fancy, pretty comfortable, I hope you like it!

Azi am sa postez o tinuta de acum 2 luni, mai exact rochia pe care am purtat'o la balul de absolvire (urasc atat de mult cuvantul "bal", suna foarte chicios in mintea mea). Nu e ceva pretentios sau extra elegant, personal nu ma omor dupa rochiile standard care se poarta pe la genul asta de evenimente, multe sunt asa de chicioase, zici ca esti la nunta (nu sunt mare fan al nuntilor), prefer rochiile ceva mai comode, mai ales daca trebuie sa stai o noapte intreaga in ea :D Inainte sa gasesc rochia asta, am fost tare stresata, pentru ca nu aveam nici timp nici chef sa alerg dupa rochii, si vroiam si ceva ieftin (asta pentru ca urasc sa cumpar haine scumpe, sa le port o singura data si dupa sa le tin in sifonier si sa se puna praful pe ele). Clar aveam niste cerinte imense! Dar intr'o zi, in timp ce cautam o alta rochie, asta pentru o zi calduroasa de vara, mi s'a pus pata ca vreau rochie lunga, si daca ti se pune pata...cu totii stim cum e :D Si cum tot eram prin mall, am zis sa trec si pe la H&M sa vad ce mai au nou, si intr'un colt am vazut rochia asta, de fapt am vazut multa dantela, si cand vad dantela, nu mai vad nimic altceva :D Culoarea nu era tocmai din gama mea de culori, dar n'am gasit'o in alta culoare, asa ca am probat'o asa cum era. Spre surprinderea mea chiar pica bine pe mine si cum era ieftina (doar 99lei daca va vine sa credeti) si mai ales era din dantela, am cumparat'o, eventual daca nu vroiam sa o port la bal, aveam timp sa cumpar altceva.

Asta e povestea din spatele rochiei, celelalte chestii pe care le'am purtat se gaseau deja in sifonier, mai putin pandantivul pe care l'am cumparat cu o saptamana inainte de petrecere.

Asa ca nimic extravagant, destul de comfortabil, sper sa va placa!

Burgundy Red

Hello there!

My last 2 weeks were full of exams and tones of studying, so I didn't had time for anything else, not even leaving the house :| And i had some photos to post, but well, when to write the post when I was counting every free second that I had. It was awfull, but now it passed and I fell extremely liberated.

So when I took these pictures it was before the Easter (yeah, I know a long time ago, and I'm talking about the ortodox Easter) and it was one of those sunny days and finally got the chance to wear that burgundy red skirt and lace jacket. Yup, I bought them in october I think and never got the chance to wear them. I wanted something in burgundy red for a long time, found a blazer once at zara beutifull, but the shoulder pads where so big it look so weird (I hate everything that makes your shoulders look big) and was a bit irritated cuz of that. But then found this skirt and of course I bought it, and the lace jacket, oh well it's lace so I generally buy everything made out of lace :D

Ultimele mele 2 saptamani au fost efectiv pline, nu de lucruri bune :D, ci de examene si o groaza de invatat, asa k n'am avut timp de nimic, n'am iesit nici macar din casa :| Aveam si niste poze de postat, dar cand sa scriu postul cand eu numaram secundele libere pe care le aveam pe degete :)) A fost groaznic, dar acum a trecut si ma simt asa de libera si relaxata. Cand am facut pozele astea era o zi frumoasa si cu soare inainte de Paste si am profitat de ea pt. a purta in sfarsit fusta in rosu burgund si jacketa de dantela. Da, le'am cumparat prin octombrie si n'am apucat pana in ziua respectiva sa le port. De multa vreme cautam ceva in culoare rosu burgund, am si gasit un sacou la zara arata genial, mai putin umerii care erau supradimensionati si aratau tare ciudat (urasc sacourile cu umerasi supradimensionti si pe care nu poti sa ii scoti pt. ca exista marea posibilitate sa strici forma sacoului), chestia asta m'a iritat putin. Dar am gasit fusta asta si evident ca am cumparat'o, apoi jacketa din dantela, si logic ca at. cand e vorba de dantela sunt in stare sa imi dau si ultimii bani din portofel :))

Masculine all the way...or not!

Hello there!

This weather is messing with us, when it's warm, too warm for this period, when it's too cold, I just hate it. Today I left the house wearing only a blazer and a lace blouse, without a scarf or something to cover the lace part, you can imagine lace and under it my skin and the cold wind, oh it was a blast, because I thought "well it's only 6:30am, of course is a bit cold, later on it will be better". Well, no it wasn't, actually it was even colder and the wind more powerfull. Not the best day for me, I was sleepy, cold, then sleepy again, had an exam, but all is in the past now as I'm staying in front of my pc in a warm room and writting my blog.

These pictures were taken one or two weeks ago (didn't had the time, well I wasn't in the mood to write anyting :D) and I'm only putting them now, even though that day was really hot outside and now winter is back.

I've waited so long to wear that boyish blazer and those trousers, since I bought the blazer (love at first site) and i was wearing those exact pants, but never got the chance to put them together. Of course I wore a hat that day, I love hats, well only this type, and now that the weather is more permissive I try to wear them as much as I can. Unfortunately, the boots that I wanted to wear that day were at my aunt so I had to put another pair, I wasn't very enthusiastic about that, but it didn't look bad :D.

I love so much the masculine style, and you can see it in these pictures pretty well. Also, it's weird that all the clothes are from Zara (I rarely have only one brand on me, but that day it happened).

I'm not sure when I'll put other pictures with me on, maybe soon, but then again I'm not sure at all. Meanwhile, you'll see other posts, but not with me :D (exams are coming, I have tones to learn :( ).

Vremii asteia ii place sa se joace cu nervii nostri, cand e cald, prea cald pt. perioada asta, cand e prea frig, o urasc! Azi am plecat de acasa imbracata cu una bucata sacou si una bucata bluza de dantela, fara o esarfa mai groasa ceva sa acopar golul ala de dantela, asa ca va imaginati dantela, iar pe dedesubt pielea mea si vantul rece de afara, a fost de'a dreptul minunat, si asta numai pt. ca m'am gandit eu "e abia 6:30dimineata, e cam rece, dar sigur mai tarziu se incalzeste". Ei bine, nu, nu s'a incalzit, de fapt s'a facut si mai frig afara, iar vantul batea de ziceai ce'i. Nu cea mai buna zi pt. mine, si'asa imi era somn, frig, somn din nou, am avut si un examen, dar totul este in trecut, acum stau linistita la caldura, in fata pc'ului si scriu la blog.

Pozele astea au fost facute acum o saptamana sau 2 in urma (nu am avut timp, mai bine zis n'am prea avut chef sa le postez :D) si le pun abia acum, desi in ziua respectiva era foarte cald afara si acum a venit iarna iar peste noi.

Am asteptat atata vreme sa port sacoul asta masculin si pantalonii respectivi, de cand am cumparat sacoul (dragoste la prima vedere, ce sa zic :D) si culmea, in ziua respectiva purtam exact pantalonii astia, dar n'am apucat pana acum sa ii pun impreuna. Bineinteles am purtat si o palarie in ziua respectiva, iubesc palariile, de fapt numai astea masculine, restul nu prea, si cum vremea e ceva mai permisiva acum incerc sa le port cat mai des. Din pacate, ghetele pe care vroiam sa le port erau la matusa mea si a trebuit sa iau alta pereche, desi nu eram prea entuziasmata de idee, dar n'a aratat prea rau :D.

Imi place la nebunie stilul masculin, asa cum o sa vedeti si in pozele astea. O alta chestie ciudata este ca toate hainele sunt de la Zara (foarte rar port un singur brand, dar in ziua aceea s'a intamplat).

Nu sunt sigura cand am sa mai postez poze cu outfit'urile mele, poate curand, dar totusi nu garantez.

Intre timp, o sa vedeti alte posturi, dar nu cu mine :D (vin examenele si am o tona de invatat :( ).

Oscars 2012 Fashion

Hello there!

Ok, I know I'm writting about a post a month, me and my laziness, and I'm really sorry. Lately all my posts start with I'm sorry, I have to stop that :D. Anyway, I was wondering what to write in this posts, maybe about Japanese Street Fashion, but well, again, I was too lazy to search for photos. And in the morning I found out that last night were the Oscars, I think I live on another planet, I mean, come on not in a million years I would have guessed that the Oscars were handed last night. This is a first in many years. Ok, I should stop now. This post is not about what dress is a do and which one is a no, in this post I'll say what I like and dislike about a selection (a big one might I say) of dresses, so bare with me, I think it will be a long post, or not, well I've just started writting it :D

So lets begin.

Ok, stiu ca scriu un post pe luna, eu si lenea din mine, si zau ca imi pare rau. In ultima vreme vad ca mai toate posturile mele incep cu imi pare rau, scuze & co., cred ca trebuie sa incetez cu asta :D Revenind, ma intrebam despre ce as putea sa scriu in postul asta, poate despre street style japonez, dar ei bine, din nou, am fost mult prea lenesa sa caut poze. De dimineata, foarte de dimineata (eram la facultate), am aflat ca seara trecuta a avut loc decernarea premiilor Oscar, cred ca traiesc pe alta planeta, adica, nici intr'un milion de ani nu mi'ar fi trecut prin cap ca aseara au fost Oscarurile daca nu auzeam la facultate. Chestia asta nu mi s'a intamplat de foarte mult timp. Ok, sa nu o mai lungesc. Postul asta nu este despre care este cea mai frumoasa sau urata rochie, ci am sa va spun ce imi place si ce nu (dintr'o perspectiva pur obiectiva, nu stiu pe cine vreau sa pacalesc aici) despre o selectie (destul de mare as zice) de rochii, asa ca suportati'ma va rog, deoarece cred ca va fi un post lung, sau poate nu, adica abia am inceput sa'l scriu :D

Asa ca sa incepem.

I'll start with the big winner, Meryl Streep, and her Lanvin dress, which I like, I mean it looks good on her, even though I find it to be a little bit too goldish! Also I don't like the earings and the clutch. But except this 2 things is a good look!

Am sa incep cu marea castigatoare, Meryl Streep, si rochia ei Lanvin, care imi place, adica arata bine in ea, desi o gasesc a fi putin cam aurie pt. gustul meu! De asemenea, nu'mi plac deloc cerceii si clutch'ul, dar exceptand aceste 2 mici detalii este o tinuta foarte ok!

All I can say is gorgeous and no, not because the designer is a romanian one, Maria Lucia Hohan, but because the colour of the dress is beautifull, the drapping as well, the entire look is spot one (the hair is a bit messy though). So this one is an Oscar dress :D

Tot ce pot sa spun este superb si nu, nu pt. ca designerul este roman, Maria Lucia Hohan, dar pt. ca rochia are o culoare foarte frumoasa, croiala la fel, intreaga tinuta este intr'o armonie totala (parul este putin cam ravasit). Aceasta este o rochie pt. Oscar :D

This one, on the other hand is a mess! I mean Natalie Portman looks like a country girl in this dress which is not made for the Oscars at all, even though is a vintage Dior from 1954. Maybe if the polka dots were out of the picture it would have been better, and that silver necklace that looks so bad with this red dress. So for me this look is not good at all, well, except the hair, the makeup and the clutch.

Rochia asta, pe de alta parte este groaznica! Natalie Portman arata ca o fata venita de la tara in rochia asta, care clar nu este facuta pt. Oscaruri (sau cel putin nu pt. cele din prezent sau viitor), chiar daca este un vintage Dior din 1954 (da si rochiile vintage mai dau gres uneori). Poate daca bulinele ar fi lipsit, ar fi fost ceva mai bine, ah si colierul acela argintiu da atat de rau cu rochia rosie. Asa ca pentru mine acesta tinuta nu este cea mai inspirata, exceptand parul, machiajul si clutch'ul care nu sunt rele deloc.

Kimono Mode

Hello there!

Long time no see! Well, I was extra busy with exams the past few weeks, but now I'm free to do whatever I want :D I thought I'll never finish with all the tests and exams, but well I did :D Of course, as I was studying all the time my blog was long forgotten. Well, I haven't really forgotten it, but I did neglect it! As the weather is so messed up in Romania, I can't really go out and take photos of me or anyone else, I'm not that good with cold weather, I hate it, so I'm staying inside where is warm and cozy :D

But that doesn't mean I can't write about other stuff, as fashion is a wide and complex world.

As you all know from my Japanese Street Style posts, I love Asia, and mostly asian fashion. So what did I do, well I've searched for really cute and cool kimonos photos and found a few. Maybe you ask why not hanbok (the traditional korean clothing) or the cheongsam/chipao (the chinese ones), well because my big obsession is the kimono, especially the black and dramatic ones (unfortunately I don't have photos of that sort, is hard to find through the internet stuff like that), but I like the red or colorfull ones as well, as long as they aren't pink :D I have some beautiful kimonos selections here, as well as some modern interpretations of the traditional piece. Also, I've tried to search some kimonos for the guys, well I couldn't find what I wanted, I have only 2 traditional kimonos, I think the types that are worn at weadings, mostly by the groom, and 2 yukatas (you may wonder what's the difference between yukata and kimono, well yukata is made out of cotton, and is worn in the summer, is more casual and the sleeves are shorter, the kimono on the other hand is made out of silk <of course, I'm not speaking of the modern take of the fabric, which is polyester - less expensive>, it has very long sleeves, is more elegant and worn on special ocassions such as weddings). Anyway, I love kimonos, and I know that in the near future I'll get a black kimono for myself, I'm not exactly sure when, but I know someday I'll get my hand on one :D

Oh, I've almost forgot, I have a photo with the royal kimonos, worn by the Emperor of Japan, Akihito, and his wife, Empress Michiko at their wedding, and one worn by the former princess of Japan, Sayako (I'm saying former princess, cause in Japan, if you're a royal and you marry a well, I can't find a better word, sorry, commoner you have to gave up your title <I found that so sad!>).

A trecut ceva vreme de cand ne'am auzit ultima data, nu! Ei bine, am fost super ocupata cu examenele in ultimele saptamani, dar acum sunt libera sa fac ce vreau :D Credeam ca nu mai scap vie din teste si examene, dar uite ca am supravietuit :D Bineinteles, ca de vreme ce nu am facut altceva decat sa invat am lasat blogul in aer. Bine, nu chiar in aer, dar l'am neglijat! Cum vremea este atat de ciudata in Romania, nu pot sa ies si sa fac poze nici cu mine, nici cu altcineva, pt. ca nu ma impac deloc bine cu vremea asta atat de rece, pe care o urasc, asa ca stau in casa unde este cald si comod :D

Dar asta nu inseamna ca nu pot scrie despre alte lucruri, totus moda este o lume complexa si destul de intinsa. Asa cum stiti din posturile mele de Street Style japonez, iubesc Asia, si in special moda asiatica. Asa ca ce am facut, ei bine am cautat poze dragute si cool cu kimono si am gasit cateva. Poate va intrebati de ce nu am ales hanbok'ul (costumul traditional corean) sau chipao'ul (cel chinezesc), ei bine deoarece kimono'ul este marea mea obsesie, in special cele negre si dramatice (din pacate nu am poze de genul, pt. ca e foarte greu sa gasesti pe internet asa ceva), dar imi plac si cele rosii si cele colorate, atata vreme cat nu sunt roze :D Am selectat cateva kimono'uri foarte frumoase, inclusiv niste versiuni moderne ale kimono'ului traditional. De asemenea, am incercat sa caut kimono'uri purtate de barbati, n'am gasit ce am vrut, am doar 2 kimono'uri traditionale, cred ca din categoria celor purtate de barbati la nunti, in special de mire, si 2 yukata (poate ca va intrebati care e diferenta dintre yukata si kimono, ei bine yukata este facuta din bumbac, este purtata vara, este ceva mai casual si manecile sunt mult mai scurte, pe cand kimono'ul este facut din matase <evident, nu ma refer la materialele care se folosesc acum, polyester - pt. ca e mult mai ieftin>, are maneci foarte lungi, este mult mai elegant si purtat, de regula, la ocazii speciale, cum sunt nuntile). Oricum, iubesc kimono'urile, si stiu ca in viitorul apropiat cu sigurnata o sa'mi cumpar un kimono negru, nu sunt sigura cand, da clar intr'o zi pun eu mana pe unul :D

Ah, era sa uit, am si o poza cu kimono'urile regale, purtate de Imparatul Japoniei, Akihito, si sotia sa, Imparateasa Michiko la nunta lor (acum mult timp :D), si unul purtat de fosta printesa a Japoniei, Sayako (spun fosta printesa, deoarece in Japonia, daca faci parte din familia regala si te casatoresti, n'am gasit un cuvant mai bun, scuze, om de rand <ce urat suna!> tb. sa renunti la titlu <gasesc treaba asta a fi tare trista, si putin inapoiata :))>). 

Lets Start the Year with J.P Gaultier - Haute Couture

For my first post of this year, I thought I should return to the very begining of my blog, to the reviews on different collection, as I haven't had a post like this since ages.

This time is a haute couture collection - Jean Paul Gaultier for fall-winter 2011/2012. From all the haute couture collections this one is the far my favourite, even though for ready to wear was Karl Lagerfelds collection.

So I'll start with the colours. Like all the collections this year, black was the main colour and the other well only to complement this dark tone. You'll see in this collection grey, olive, red, navy blue and a touch of beige, purple, white, brown and silver & gold.

As for the fabrics we can see leather, fur and feathers in almost every garment, silk, lace, satin, chiffon, tulle, velvet, sequins and organza.

The clothes are extravagant as the designer used so much fur and feathers in them. We can see many luxurious coats, fur coats, some combined with feathers for a more dramatic & glamorous look, leather coats all combined with fur collars. There are also capes in this collection. The blazers and jackets are very tailored and worn with pencil skirts. The woman dresses most of them made out of chiffon, sequins, tulle and satin are accessorised with fur coats and feathers, give me (but well maybe it's just me) a south american/western vibe from the late 1800 and a bit of a parisian vibe from the same period. The trenches are transformed into chiffon dresses.

But what I really liked in this collection well is the mixing between women clothes and menswear. So the men suits are made of satin, which is a fabric for women clothes, and are associated with capes and fur coats, that have that aristocratic look from the 1600 era in England and Italy. All the men's clothes have a powerful feminine vibe in them starting with the fabrics and ending with the actual design, see the glitter blouses and the lace pants!

As for me my favourite looks you can see in the first 4 images the suit and the colourful dress!

Pt. primul meu post din acest an, m'am gandit ca ar fi cazul sa ma reintorc la inceputurile blogului meu, mai exact la reviewurile asupra colectiilor de moda, avand in vedere ca n'am mai avut un post de genul de secole.

De data aceasta este o colectie haute couture - Jean Paul Gaultier colectia de toamna-iarna 2011/2012. Dintre toate colectiile de haute couture este de departe preferata mea, chiar daca pt. pret-a-porter a fost cea a lui Karl Lagerfeld pt. Chanel.

Am sa incep cu culorile. Ca in majoritatea colectiilor din acest an, negrul a fost culoarea principala si celelalte nu au facut decat sa scoata in evidenta tonurile intunecate ale acesteia. Veti vedea in aceasta colectie gri, masliniu, rosu, bleumarin si un strop de bej, mov, alb, maro si auriu si argintiu.

In ceea ce priveste materialele avem pielea, blana si pene in aproape fiecare piesa vestimentara, matase, dantela, satin, chiffon, tulle, catifea, paiete si organza.

Cum designerul a folosit foarte mult blana si penele, hainele sunt extravagante. Putem vedea multe haine luxurioase, haine de blana, unele combinate cu pene pentru mai mult dramatism si glam, haine de piele combinate cu gulere de blana. De asemenea, intalnim si cape in aceasta colectie. Sacourile si jachetele cu croiala fixa, bine cambrate pe corp, purtate cu fuste creion. Rochiile, majoritatea dintre ele din chiffon, paiete, tulle sau satin sunt accesorizate cu haine de blana si pene, si imi dau senzatia (ei bine poate sunt doar eu) de haine western de pe la sfarsitul lui 1800 si asa o usoara tenta pariziana din aceeasi perioada. Paltoanele, de aceasta data, au fost transformate in rochii din chiffon.

Insa ceea ce mi'a placut cel mai mult la aceasta colectie a fost mix'ul dintre moda feminina si cea masculina. Asadar, costumele barbatesti sunt facute din satin, care este un material pt. haine de femei, si sunt combinate cu cape sau haine de blana, care aduc putin cu tinutele aristocratice din Anglia si Italia anilor 1600. Toate hainele barbatesti emana foarte multa feminitate incepand cu materialele si sfarsind cu designul in sine, vedeti bluzele sclipicioase si pantalonii din dantela!

In ceea ce ma priveste pe mine, tinutele mele preferate le puteti vedea in primele 4 imagini, costumul si rochia foarte colorata!

Boyish Look

Finally I've managed to select some photos with my outfit from Absolutely Fabulous, which I haven't published in the post regarding the fair. Because it was a bit dark outside the photos are not the greatest, but you can see the esential stuff. My look was kind of boyish, masculine, it really works with my new haircut, I've had a long white shirt from Asos, which you've seen it in a previous post, a vest from Stadivarius, which you can't see because of the coat, a pair of light blue jeans - random brand (has been a while since i last wore them), a pair of black shoe boots, also a random brand, and my new military coat (it took me ages till i've found it) from Zara. As accessories a long cameo necklace from New Yorker, a cameo ring from Accessorize and a box bag from New Look.

In sfarsit am reusit sa selectez cateva poze cu tinuta mea de la Absolutely Fabulous, pe care nu le'am publicat in postul despre targ. Deoarece a fost cam intuneric afara, fotografiile nu sunt chiar perfecte, dar puteti sa vedeti in ele esentialul. Look'ul meu a fost unul masculin, se potriveste tare bine cu noua tunsoare, am purtat o camasa alba lunga de la Asos, pe care ati mai vazut'o intr'un post anterior, o vesta de la Stradivarius care nu se vede din cauza paltonului, o pereche de blugi albastru deschis, no name (a trecut ceva vreme de cand i'am purtat ultima oara), o pereche de botine negre, de asemenea no name, si noul meu palton "militar" (mi'a luat ceva vreme pana l'am gasit) de la Zara. Accessoriile constau intr'un lant/medalion cameo de la New Yorker, un inel cameo de la Accessorize si o geanta "cutie" de la New Look.

Necktie With A Twist

Yesterday was really beautiful in Bucharest, sunny and really warm outside, after many cold days, and I took the chance and made some photos with the outfit that I wore. The photos are better than the ones from my other outfit post, and the hair is not as messy, I'm improving!

I recently bought an oversized shirt like the ones men wear and I was so anxious to wear it, but with the weather my anxiousness had to wait. Meanwhile, I remembered that I had a necktie somewhere in my closet and thought that maybe it will look good with the shirt. But it was a bit plain, as the necktie was white with small stripes and the shirt was also white (well I still think that, even with all the accessories, the look is a bit plain, a waistcoat would have improved it a bit, too late though), so I put a cameo brooch, which I think looks great with a necktie, and a black necklace under it to give it some style.

So the outfit is composed of an oversized boyfriend shirt, skinny jeans (I'm obsessed with skinny jeans so you'll see me in them most of the time), a white necktie with black stripes, a cameo brooch, a black necklace, a cameo ring, a pair of platform shoe boots and a vintage looking bag (which is not vintage). Oh, and a leather jacket, it was chilly in the morning.

Ieri a fost tare frumos in Bucuresti, soare si destul de cald afara, dupa multe zile reci, asa ca am profitat de ocazie si am facut cateva poze cu tinuta pe care o purtam. Pozele sunt ceva mai bune decat cele din celalat post cu stil personal, parul nu a mai fost nici el asa de ravasit, progresez!

Recent am cumparat o camasa supradimensionata ca cele pe care le poarta barbatii si eram tare nerabdatoare sa o port, dar cu vremea de afara nerabdarea mea a tb sa mai astepte. Intre timp mi'am amintit ca aveam o cravata pe undeva prin sifonier si m'am gandit ca poate o sa dea bine cu camasa. Insa arata putin cam simplu, sters, cravata fiind alba cu niste dungi negre subtiri si camasa tot alba (bine tot sunt de parere ca e putin cam sters, cu toate accesoriile pe care le'am pus, poate ca o vesta ar fi imbunatatit putin, cam tarziu insa), asa ca am pus o brosa cameo, care mi se pare ca arata genial cu o cravata, si niste margele negre pt a'i conferi putin stil.

Asadar, tinuta este alcatuita din camasa "prietenului" supradimensionata, skinny jeans (sunt obsedata cu blugii skinny, asa ca o sa ma vedeti cu ei mai mereu), o cravata alba cu dungi negre, o brosa cameo, niste margele negre, un inel cameo, o pereche de botine si o geanta care arata vintage, dar nu e. Ah si o geaca de piele, a fost cam racoare de dimineata.

Selections for Fall/Winter 2011/2012

Hello there!

It passed alot since my last post, but I'm back! Unfortunately I was a bit busy, also the weather here is awful, it's so so cold, and I couldn't bring myself to post anything.

So a short post for today with mostly photos selected from different fall/winter collections presented at Paris Fashion Week, that reflect the best the fabrics, colours and lets say trends for this season. Some I've chosen because I found them to be very interesting, like Hermes and Mugler, and the rest well because I think you can find something similar in the stores, if you look hard enough, and also because I like them.

A trecut ceva vreme de la ultimul post, dar m'am intors! Din pacate am fost putin ocupata, apoi vremea de aici este ingrozitoare, este atat de frig, si nu prea am fost in stare sa ma adun ca sa postez ceva.

Asa ca un post scurt pt azi alcatuit in mare din fotografii selectate din diferite colectii de toamna/iarna prezentate la Paris Fashion Week, care reflecta cel mai bine materialele, culorile si sa zicem trendurile pt acest sezon. Unele le'am ales pt ca le'am gasit a fi tare interesante, precum Hermes si Mugler, iar restul pt ca m'am gandit ca veti gasi ceva similar in magazine, daca o sa cautati bine, si bineinteles pt ca mi'au placut.

Stripes and Black&White

As it was such a beautifull autumn day, after so many cold and rainy ones, I thought that it would be great if I would take some photos for my first personal style post. Well I've taken the photos, but their quality is not that great as I forgot to set my camera for outside photos and to clean the lenses, and the focus could be better also and my hair is a bit messy too. But all in all I think they're ok. The black&white photos I think are better (I took some b&w ones also because i really love this kind of photos). So for today my outfit was composed of a beige blazer, a striped blouse, some skinny jeans and a pair of black pumps with very high heels. As for the accessories a necklace, a cameo ring, which you can't see it very well, and a black box bag. What I love the most are the blazer which is so cozy and the pumps, I searched for them a while until I've found them.

Well I hope you'll like the outfit and the photos.

 Astazi a fost asa o zi frumoasa de toamna, dupa atatea in care a fost frig si a plouat, asa ca m'am gandit ca ar fi genial daca as face cateva poze pt primul meu post din categoria stil personal. Am facut pozele, insa calitatea nu e grozava, avand in vedere ca am uitat sa imi setez aparatul pt poze de exterior si sa curat obiectivul putin, iar focalizarea ar fi putut fi mai buna si nici parul nu sta prea bine, e putin cam ravasit. Dar in final cred ca sunt cat de cat ok. Cred ca pozele alb&negru sunt ceva mai bune (am facut si cateva alb&negru pt ca iubesc genul asta de fotografii). Pt. azi tinuta a fost alcatuita dintr'un sacou bej, o bluza in dungi, niste skinny jeans si o pereche de pantofi negri cu tocuri foarte mari. In ceea ce priveste accessoriile un colier, un inel cameo pe care nu il puteti vedea prea bine si o geanta neagra gen "cutie". Ceea ce imi place cel mai mult din toata tinuta sunt sacoul care este tare lejer si pantofii, pe care i'am cautat ceva vreme pana sa'i gasesc.

Acum sper sa va placa tinuta si pozele.

Glitter & Prints from Vivienne Westwood for F/W 2011/2012

Glitter and prints, this is what Vivienne Westwood brings to the table for her Ready-to-Wear F/W 2011/2012 collection. As she has accustomed us, again we can see bold, bright and colorful creations, different from those of the other designers. A combination of tribal & punk elements, with a strange makeup, that somehow makes me think of some egyptian dark witches or the african shamans, describes the best the style of Vivienne Westwood. After all the black and thoes very tailored collection, we needed something different, and that you know you can find it in Vivienne Westwoods collections.

For the colors we have gold, brown, orange, yellow, black, grey, some white, blue, burgundy and lots of prints, mostly in orange and brown.

Sequins dominate the podium, succeded by jersey, silk, tulle, velvet, wool and cotton.

As for the clothes, Vivienne Westwood suggests casual dresses, capes and voluminous blouses worn with high waisted pencil skirts or suits, sparkling jumpsuits, wool coats, skinny trousers in tones of gold or silver, 3/4 socks and tights with different leg colours, high waisted trousers, some knitwear, jumpsuits and day dresses in tribal prints, long skirts, for the night there are gold dresses and some black elegant ones, some dresses have exagerated proportions and the collection ends with a too safe wedding dress, in my opinion.

All the outfits are being worn with glittery gold or sparkling blue shoes and boots.

The clothes are draped and dominated by prints, some dresses have a very gothic look, for me very "Corps Bride" looking, all in all a nice collection.

The colours are not really me, I don't wear brown or orange (well except a brown bag that I've recently got) or prints, I like the draping, some pants, a skirt and the gold colour. That's it for me, I hope you'll like it.

Sclipici si imprimeuri, asta este ceea ce Vivienne Westwood aduce cu colectia sa pret-a-porter pentru toamna-iarna 2011/2012. Asa cum ne'a obisnuit, putem vedea din nou creatii curajoase, stralucitoare si pline de culoare, diferite de cele ale celorlalti designeri. O combinatie de elemente tribale si punk, cu un machiaj bizar, care ma face sa ma gandesc la niste vrajitoare egiptene sau la samanii africani, descriu cel mai bine stilul lui Vivienne Westwood. Dupa atata negru si colectii cu o croiala foarte rigida, aveam nevoie de ceva diferit, pe care stii ca il gasesti in colectiile lui Vivienne Westwood.

Ca si culori avem auriu, maro, portocaliu, galben, negru, gri, putin alb, albastru, rosu burgund si multe imprimeuri, majoritatea maro sau portocalii.

Paietele domina podiumul, urmate de jersey (tricot subtire), matase, tulle, catifea, lana si bumbac.

In ceea ce priveste hainele, Vivienne Westwood propune rochii lejere, pelerine si bluze voluminoase purtate cu fuste creion cu talie inalta sau cu costume, jumpsuituri stralucitoare, haine de lana, pantaloni skinny in nuante de auriu sau argintiu, sosete de 3/4 si ciorapi subtiri cu diferite culori pt fiecare picior, pantaloni cu talie inalta, ceva tricotaje, jumpsuituri si rochii de zi cu imprimeuri tribale, fuste lungi, pt noapte avem rochii aurii si cateva negre, mai elegante, unele rochii au proportii exagerate, iar colectia se termina cu o rochie de mireasa putin cam banala, in opinia mea.

Toate tinutele sunt purtate cu pantofi sau cizme in culori precum sclipici auriu sau albastru stralucitor.

Hainele sunt dominate de printuri, unele rochii au un aspect foarte gotic, pentru mine aduce a "Corps Bride", insa in final este o colectie interesanta.

Culorile nu sunt tocmai pt mine, nu port maro sau portocaliu (bine, exceptand ultima geanta pe care am cumparat'o, care este maro) sau imprimeuri, imi place cum sunt croite hainele, mai mi'au placut niste pantaloni, o fusta si auriul. Cam atat pt mine, sper sa va placa.

F/W 2011/2012 in a Japanese View - Junya Watanabe

Today we're going to make a trip into Asian fashion, more exactly into the Ready-to-Wear F/W 2011/2012 collection of Junya Watanabe. Maybe many of you wonder why didn't i chose Kenzo, or who is Junya Watanabe. Well I really didn't like Kenzo's collection, too many prints, too southern looks, too much brown, so for me it's a no. Now, why Junya Watanabe, well because he's different, because of his very technical and tailored collections and avantgarde looks, but mostly because he's asian and you can see that in his creations, after all this is a travel into Asian fashion.

For this season the designer had in mind a very structured, dark and boyish collection, in my opinion, dominated by leather, and mostly by the leather jackets in various forms. As you'll see in the pictures it resembles greatly with the look adopted by the japanese visual key bands this year (visual key is a style of rock in Japan, for more google it) and also with the type of clothes that Japanese street fashion lovers just adore. There's a bit of a tribal look in the collection (maybe inspired by the asian tribes) in a punk atmosphere combined with traditional japanese elements (taken from the famous kimono). We'll se some oversized dresses, many layers , a typical japanese style.

Again the collection is dominated by the black colour with a tiny bit of grey, brown and some leopard print for the fur collars.

For the fabrics, leather primarily, fur, knitwear and some cotton (after all is a Japanese designer, he needs a traditional fabric).

Regarding the clothes, the main trend that Watanabe launches with this collection is the leather jacket in different forms, from the very tailored jackets to kimono like jackets. As leather being the main fabric, it's not used only for the jackets, but also for the tunics and blouses, pants and even for the dresses, but in a softer version. The jackets are worn with short and medium pleated skirts with black tights and flat boots or military boots and the blouses and leather tunics and also the knitwear ones are worn with 3/4 leather pants or tights. There are some fur coats, fur collars worn with oversized soft leather dresses, and also some fur medium skirts.

At the end I like this collection, there are many looks that I would love to wear, and I see it as a success.

Astazi vom face o excursie in moda asiatica, mai exact in colectia pret-a-porter toamna/iarna 2011/2012 a lui Junya Watanabe. Poate ca multi dintre voi se vor intreba de ce nu am ales Kenzo, sau cine este Junya Watanabe. Ei bine chiar nu mi'a placut colectia prezentata de Kenzo, prea multe imprimeuri, un look mult prea texan, ca sa zic asa, prea mult maro, asa ca pt mine este un NU categoric. Acum, de ce Junya Watanabe, pt ca e diferit, datorita colectiilor foarte tehnice si foarte bine croite si tinutelor avantgardiste, dar in mare pt ca este asiatic si pt ca asta se observa in creatiile sale, este totusi o calatorie in culisele modei asiatice.

Pentru acest sezon designerul a avut in minte, dupa parerea mea, o colectie foarte structurata, sumbra si baietoasa, dominata de piele, dar mai ales de jachetele de piele in diverse forme. Asa cum veti vedea in imagini se aseamana tare bine cu look'ul adoptat de formatiile japoneze de visual key (e un curent de muzica rock din Japonia) in acest an si, de asemenea, cu hainele pe care niponii iubitori de street fashion pur si simplu le adora. Se observa si un fel de inspiratie tribala in colectie (avand drept sursa probabil triburile asiatice) intr'o atmosfera punk combinata cu elemnte traditionale japoneze (luate bineinteles din celebrul kimono). Vom vedea si niste rochii supradimensionate, multe layere, un stil tipic japonez.

Din nou colectia este dominata de negru, ca si culoare principala, cu un strop de gri, maro si imprimeu de leopard pentru gulerele de blana.

Ca si materiale, avem pielea in prim plan, urmata de blana, tricotaj si ceva bumbac (este totusi un designer nipon, asa ca are nevoie si de un material traditional).

In ceea ce priveste hainele, trendul principal pe care Watanabe il propune prin aceasta colectie este jacheta de piele in diverse forme, de la jachete cu croiala fixa la jachete care te duc cu gandul la kimono. Fiind principalul material, designerul nu se limiteaza in a folosi pielea doar pt jachete, ci si pt tunici si bluze, pantaloni si chiar pt rochii, insa intr'o versiune mai moale, mai maleabila. Jachetele sunt purtate cu fuste plisate, scurte sau medii, cu dres negru opac si cu ghete cu talpa joasa sau ghete militare, iar bluzele si tunicile de piele si tricotajele sunt purtate cu pantaloni 3/4 sau cu dres negru opac. Apar si cateva haine de blana, gulere de blana purtate peste rochii de piele supradimensionate, si mai sunt si cateva fuste de blana.

La final imi place aceasta colectie, sunt foarte multe tinute pe care le'as purta, si o gasesc a fi un succes.

Dior Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Ready-to-Wear without Galliano

Today I'm going to talk a little bit about Dior's Ready-to-Wear F/W 2011/2012 collection and what trends they're trying to launch.

As you'll see in the photos, compared to Chanel's collection, which I've covered in the earlier post, this one has a more feminine style, softer tones and fabrics. It's lighter, not as theatrical as the collections that John Galliano presented in the past (as you might know he doesn't work for Dior anymore, due to some criminal offences he was fired), but still very Dior.

It seems that the theme for this collection was the Romantic Era in English poetry (the style of English poets as William Blake, Byron, Shelley), but for me resembles more to George Sand. I would say that is the masculine style from the 18th century reinterpreted in a contemporary vision. Also the fur collars that you'll see, some dresses and the makeup reminds me more of the '20s. Maybe it's just me, but I see this collection as a mix between the 18th century and the '20s, the bohemian masculinity of the English poets and the femininity from the '20s. Perhaps I've said something stupid, but that's my opinion.

Now, lets see what trends Dior proposed for this season. For the colours we have dark tones like black, grey (as you'll see, this winter most designers prefered black and grey as their primary colours), dark blue, navy blue, bordeaux, red, olive green, also we'll see some light colours, compared to Chanel, where we had mostly dark, as white, dusty pink, light blue (used for blouses and dresses).

To show even more the romanticism of the collection the fabrics are very feminine, silk, velvet, fur, feathers, chiffon, tulle, lace, leather and some wool and knitwear.

As for the clothes we have long redingotes (not a big fan), knickerbockers (more exactly short pants), short skirts worn with chiffon blouses, velvet jackets, the dresses and most of the outfits have either a fur collar or a fur coat, also chiffon dresses, and voile dresses, large hats (don't like them at all), long leather boots with platform and high heels.

It's a great collection for those of you who love that type of clothes, for me it's not really my thing. There are about 2 or 3 outfits that I like, the leather boots are great, also I found some nice shorts and the blouses are tottaly me, the rest not really.

Astazi o sa vorbesc putin despre colectia pret-a-porter pentru toamna-iarna 2011/2012 a casei Dior si despre trendurile pe care aceasta incearca sa le lanseze.

Asa cum veti vedea in imagini, in comparatie cu colectia casei Chanel, pe care am prezentat'o intr'un post anterior, aceasta adopta un stil mult mai feminin, culori si materiale mai usoare. Este mai gratioasa, nu la fel de teatrala ca si colectiile pe care John Galliano le prezenta in trecut (asa cum probabil stiti, acesta nu mai lucreaza pentru Dior, datorita unor "divergente" pe care le'a avut cu legea a fost concediat), dar totusi specifica Dior.

Se pare ca tema pentru aceasta colectie a fost reprezentata de Era Romantica din poezia britanica (stilul unor poeti englezi ca William Blake, Byron, Shelley), insa pentru mine aduce mai mult a George Sand. As spune ca este stilul masculin al secolului al 18lea reinterpretat intr'o viziune contemporana. De asemenea, gulerele de blana pe care le veti vedea, unele rochii si machiajul imi cam amintesc de anii '20. Poate mi se pare mie, dar vad aceasta colectie ca pe un mix intre secolul al 18lea si anii '20, masculinitatea boema a poetilor englezi si feminitatea anilor '20. Poate ca am spus o prostie, dar asta e parerea mea.

Acum sa vedem ce trenduri propune Dior pentru acest sezon. In ceea ce priveste culorile avem tonuri inchise ca negru, gri (asa cum o sa vedeti, in aceasta iarna majoritatea designerilor prefera negrul si griul drept culori dominante), albastru inchis, bleumarin, bordeaux, rosu, verde masliniu, insa avem si culori mai deschise, in comparatie cu Chanel unde au predominat culorile inchise, precum alb, roz prafuit, bleu deschis (folosite in mare pentru rochii si bluze).

Pentru a scoate in evidenta si mai tare romantismul colectiei materialele sunt si ele foarte feminine: matase, catifea, blana, pene, chiffon (in romana ar veni panza, dar nu stiu de ce ma duce cu gandul la carpe de sters praful asa ca il las ca atare), tulle, dantela, piele si ceva lana si tricotaj.

In ceea ce priveste hainele avem redingote lungi (nu sunt mare fan), pantaloni scurti, fuste scurte purtate cu bluze din chiffon, jachete din catifea, rochiile si majoritatea tinutelor contin fie un guler de blana, fie o haina de blana, de asemenea, rochii din chiffon si voile, palarii mari (care nu imi plac deloc), cizme lungi din piele cu platforma si toc inalt.

Este o colectie geniala pentru cei care iubesc acest gen de haine, insa nu si pentru mine. Sunt vreo 2-3 tinute care mi'au placut mult, cizmele din piele sunt foarte tari, am gasit si niste pantaloni scurti draguti si bluzele care sunt exact stilul meu, dar restul nu chiar.

Chanel Fall/Winter 2011/2012 Ready-to-Wear

So I've decided to make a little review on Chanel's Ready-to-Wear F/W 2011/2012 in this post, cuz the fall is here, soon the winter will be too so i wanted to show you the visions that some designers had for this season.

I'm gonna start with Chanel, cuz i love the creations of Karl Lagerfeld, and later on I'll post the work of some other designers as well.

Karl Lagerfeld decided to go on a chic masculine style dominated by black and grey (2 of my fav colours), there's also a bit of red and white. We have some classic Chanel silhouettes and a lot of knitwear (I must say that I'm not a big fan of knitwear).

From what you'll see in the photos the main trends that Karl Lagerfeld proposed are: for colours, mostly black and grey, and as for clothes, voluminous jackets, blazers (the jackets are worn over the blazers), skinny jeans, leggings, skirts over velvet leggings, masculine pants and suits, luxurious jumpsuits, some capes (they make me think of knights) and as for the fabrics knitwear is almost everywhere, tweed, velvet, some silk and lace. So a very boyish collection with a powerfull rock vibe.

Don't know why but this collection reminds me of the Japanese street fashion, visual key and the creations of Japanese designers. Is one of my fav collections from Chanel so far, totally my style, dark colours, many layers, oversised jackets, blazers, skinny jeans.

Am decis sa fac un mic review asupra colectiei pret-a-porter (sau "gata de purtat" cum ar veni la noi) pt toamna-iarna 2011/2012 a casei Chanel, pt k a venit toamna, in curand va veni si iarna asa ca am vrut sa va arat ce propun unii designeri pt acest sezon.

O sa incep cu Chanel, pt ca iubesc creatiile lui Karl Lagerfeld, si mai incolo o sa postez si creatiile altor designeri.

Karl Lagerfeld s'a centrat pe un stil chic masculin dominat de negru si gri (2 dintre culorile mele preferate), regasindu'se si un strop de rosu si alb. De asemenea cateva siluete clasice ale casei Chanel si foarte multe tricotaje (desi tb sa spun ca nu sunt un mare fan al tricotajelor).

Din ceea ce o sa vedeti in poze principalele trenduri pe care Karl Lagerfeld le propune sunt: pt culori, in mare negru si gri, iar pt haine, jachete voluminoase, sacouri (jachetele fiind purtate peste sacouri), skinny jeans, colanti, fuste purtate peste colanti din catifea, pantaloni cu croiala masculina si costume, jumpsuituri somptuoase, cateva pelerine (care ma fac sa ma gandesc la cavalerii din Evul Mediu), iar pt materiale domina tricotajul, tweedul, catifeaua si ceva matase si dantela. Asadar o colectie foarte baietoasa cu o puternica tenta rock.

Nu stiu de ce dar aceasta colectie imi aminteste de street fashion'ul nipon, de visual key si de creatiile designerilor din Japonia. Este una dintre colectiile mele preferate de la Chanel, fiind total pe stilul meu, culori inchise, multe layere, jachete supradimensionate, sacouri, skinny jeans.

Pur si simplu o iubesc. Sper sa va placa si voua.

A New Blog in Town

Hello there!!!

So I've decided to start a fashion blog, a mixture between street fashion, pret-a-porter and some couture here and there. I'll expose my personal style also and many other things regarding fashion. You'll see that I'm big into Asian street fashion and monochromatic looks. That's it for my first post, you'll discover the rest in time.

Am decis sa incep un nou blog de moda, un amestec intre street fashion (sau moda de strada cum ar veni pe romaneste), pret-a-porter si niste couture (adica high fashion) pe ici pe colo. O sa va prezint si stilul meu personal si multe alte lucruri legate de moda. O sa vedeti ca iubesc street fashionul asiatic si look'urile monocromatice. Atat pt. primul post, o sa descoperiti restul in timp.
